Amuzie wants Nigeria chance

Date:

Lugano defender, Stanley Amuzie is hoping to gain a place in Nigeria national team.

The full back is currently plying his trade in the Swiss Super League following his move from Sampdoria.

Speaking to Footballlive.ng, Amuzie has outlined his determination to earn a place in Nigeria national team.

He said, “When I watch Nigeria it gives me great encouragement. I really want to play for my country. It’s just a matter of waiting for my chance and taking it when it comes.”

“I have to play more games here to be able to break into the national team. I hope that my chances will come soon. I want to get in the national team on merit and I believe I can do it.”

Competition for the left back spot in Gernot Rohr’s squad is fierce, with Jamilu Collins, Brian Idowu and Ola Aina all ahead of Amuzie in the pecking order.
