Angola’s Neblú Faces Suspension Blow for Quarter-Final Clash Against Nigeria

Date:

Angola’s goalkeeper, Adilson Cipriano da Cruz, ‘Neblú,’ will miss the crucial quarter-final clash against Nigeria following a failed bid to overturn his suspension.

Neblú was red-carded during Angola’s Round of 16 victory against Namibia, resulting in a two-game suspension. Despite an appeal by the Angola Football Federation, the decision stands, dealing a significant blow to Pedro Goncalves’ team in their quest for a historic AFCON semi-final spot.

The encounter with the Super Eagles is set for Friday at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan.
