Chelsea youngster, Faustino Anjorin on Saturday struck home his fifth goal of the season for The Blues’ youth team, in a match the under-18 squad won 5-0 against London rivals, West Ham United.
Anjorin, who is making the best of his free role in midfield, made hay in the eighth game of the season of the English U18 Premier League against the team that featured Nigerian-born central defender, Joshua Okocha.
While Jordan Aina was not in Chelsea’s squad, Anjorin turned out to be the undisputed hero, as he first slammed home from close range to open scoring in the 13th minute.
Henry Lawrence doubled the advantage before Marcel Lewis and Thierno Ballo struck twice to help Chelsea to a comprehensive win.
Anjorin, who has been in top form for England’s under-18 team and Chelsea’s youth team, was substituted after 56 minutes, while Okocha played the full game for The Hammers.
It was another step forward for the in-form Anjorin, who was also on target for England’s U18s in their recent 4-0 win against Sweden.
