Antonio Conceicao, Former Cameroon Coach, Applies for Super Eagles’ Top Job

Date:

Former head coach of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, Antonio Conceicao, has thrown his hat in the ring for the position of head coach for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

The Portuguese coach, who managed Cameroon from 2019 to 2022, is reportedly among the notable candidates expressing interest in leading the three-time African champions.

With a wealth of coaching experience in Portugal, Romania, and Saudi Arabia, Conceicao guided the Indomitable Lions to a third-place finish at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) recently declared the Super Eagles’ head coach position vacant, inviting applications from interested coaches.
