Date:

Enyimba of Aba chairman, Chief Felix Anyansi-Agwu has charged the club’s players to justify all expenses on them by snatching an away win against CARA Brazzaville of Congo in their second group match of this year’s CAF Confederations Cup on Wednesday.

Anyansi-Agwu stated as much at the weekend, as the peoples elephant headed out early for the game, which he said was planned so in order to accord the lads enough time to train and settle down in Brazzaville.

the board member of Nigeria football federation (NFF) pointed out that going early means extra expenses for the club, hence his charge to thje players to ensure they get a decent result against heir h hosts in midweek, and stay to[p of their group.

The Peoples Elephant were all happy and joyous, as they travelled out for their second Group C clash against CARA, against who the two-time African champions will look to follow up an impressive opening victory against Djoliba of Mali with another win, and so consolidate top spot in the group.

On the other hand, CARA Brazzaville will seek their first points of the group stage, after they lost their opener to Ivoirian side AC Williamsville on Matchday 1.

Heading into Wednesday’s game, Anyansi-Agwu said their early departure is due to the game’s timing, which is scheduled to kick off at 2pm on May 16.

He further said the objective is a win and charged the players to give proper account of themselves, in order to justify the club management’s huge expenses to ensure their comfort.

“Going and spending one extra day will actually be more expensive for us. But we have to, so as to allow for adequate rest and preparation before the day of the game. We are leaving no stone unturned,” Anyansi-Agwu stated.
