Asisat Oshoala made a memorable debut for Bay FC in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) by scoring their first-ever goal in a 1-0 victory over Angel City FC.
The 29-year-old Nigerian forward found the back of the net just 17 minutes into her debut for the newly acquired team.
Oshoala, who joined Albertin Montoya’s side from Barcelona Ladies last month, enjoyed a successful spell at Barcelona, scoring 85 goals in 101 league appearances and winning the UEFA Women’s Champions League title twice.
Her surprise move to Bay FC in the United States of America marks a new chapter in her illustrious career. As the reigning African women’s Player of the Year, Oshoala continues to make waves in women’s football on a global stage.
