Asuquo: Yobe Desert Stars expect tough Heartland fight

Date:

Philip Asuquo has revealed that Yobe Desert Stars know fully what to expect when they host Heartland on Wednesday 18th July.

Stars side will be facing struggling Naze Millionaires, who have just 20 points registered to their name after a poor run in the 2018 Nigeria Professional Football League season.
It is a situation that Asuquo says has been made clear to the players this week by Baba Ganaru.
“The Coach has told us that this game will be a final for them,” the former Crown midfielder told Footballlive.ng.
“They have just 20 points, if they lose then everything will be even more difficult for them, they will be going out to the death, but we know what we are going to be up against there.
“Heartland is a good side despite their precarious position. We intend to follow our dynamic, we will try to win and to move above the relegation zone.”
The Damaturu Stars head into the fixture looking for what would be their first league win since May 9.
“At home it is very important to make it a fortress, but you also have to take points off of teams away from home.
“We have to do more damage away from home and be more aggressive on the road. We defend well, but we have to be more aggressive.
“Chinedu Ohanachom will help us a lot, in terms of how the team will play. He will help make us more dangerous in attack.”
