Atubolu Receives Germany Under-17 Invitation

Date:

SC Freiburg of Germany’s fast-rising Nigerian-born youth team shot-stopper, Noah Atubolu has been invited to the European country’s under-17 national team for an upcoming international competition.

Footballlive.ng gathered that the 16-year-old keeper is set to get an encore with his land of birth, after being named in the squad for a four-team event involving Ireland, England, Czech Republic and Germany.

Atubolu, who debuted for Germany’s under-17s in a 2-2 draw with Holland in August, before featuring against Israel and Italy, was not in the squad for international friendlies against Denmark last month.

This season, Atubolu has started nine games for Freiburg in Germany’s Junior Bundesliga, where he has one clean sheet but conceded 12 goals.
