AUDIO: I urge all the Nigerians to keep supporting Super Falcons – Asisat Oshoala

Date:

The 23-year-old lanky forward of the Super Falcons Asisat  Oshoala  who won the African Women’s Footballer of the year made known her  take on the on going AWCON competition and their previous match against the shepolopolo of Zambia.

Speaking exclusively is  the highest goal scorer at the 2014 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Asisat Oshoala .

I think the AWCON competition gives me a different feeling because it’s more like a qualification to the world Cup, thought there have been some of kind of upset in the tournament .
So far, teams with low football esteem, who were more like they underdogs in the past have been the ones upsetting the bigger teams she said.
Concerning our first game, Unfortunately we lost our game to South Africa ,it wasn’t a start for us as the defending champions i must say but so far It is been an interesting .
I am actually impressed with the outcome against Zambians, thought it was a difficult match for us,  on like two years back were our Junior National Teams like U 17 or U-20 could actually play against them with ease.
But now times have changed the Zambians actually gave us a run for our money, i would say it wasn’t  totally ease for us.
Regarding my goal concerning the on going AWCON,  i would say basically it is the team goal that is important to me right now,  we just need to qualify for the 2019 World Cup in France  and then we can start thinking of retaining the trophy afterwards.
Dalian Quanjian F.C  goal poacher concluded by saying I just want to urge all Nigerians to keep supporting the Super Falcons, not just me, we thank everyone for their support and we hope not to let Nigerians down.
