AUDIO: Nobody gave Super Sand Eagles the chance to do well in Beach Soccer AFCON tournament because of lack of preparation – Danjuma Paul.

Date:

The Katsinita Uned goalkeeper who spoke footballlive.ng  from his base in Suleja about poor preparation to the Beach Soccer tournament that was held in Egypt. He said

I give God the glory, it was a successful outing for us,  thought nobody gave us the chance or believed in us to get the stage we got too.
Concerning our preparations for the just concluded Beach AFCON  tournament Seriously there are lots of things to be done to that regard,  we never had a good preparation for the AFCON competition at all.
We never had no formal training session before the competition, we were all assembled as a team at they airport and we traveled down to Egypt .
Thank God for his faithfulness and kindness we were able to play,  and we got to the finals.
Though this my second edition  playing the beach Soccer, adapting to the system of Beach Soccer ? i will simply say, i change my mind set once i am out of the 11 aside pattern, to Beach Soccer pattern mind set.
The showers of accolades on me , came as a result of  the decision we took as a team before leaving the shores of the country.
Immediately we arrived spoke extensively to ourselves saying with or without anybody  including the NFF and Government, let’s achieve the victory in oneness.
Unfortunately , i was the only goal keeper on ground, they other goal keeper could not make it, so i had to double my effort and we made to the finals.
Regards to our preparations for World Cup,  we are looking forward to playing in the World Cup,  we really are pleading and appealing to the Government, NFF and Nigerians to support the Super Sand Eagles financially.
