FC Porto central defender Chidozie Awaziem is confident Nigeria will perform in their 2019 AFCON qualifier against Seychelles.
Nigeria have a make-or-break qualifier against the Pirates at the Stade Linite on Saturday afternoon, but Awaziem is confident of the Eagles’ chances.
“We are all prepared to come out victorious on Saturday. Our fans should expect the best from us. I want Nigerians to support us,” Chidozie Awaziem said to Footballlive.ng.
“We’re going to do it. I’m confident, we’re confident, but you always have to be sure you’re not over-confident.
“This is going to be a tough game for us, but we’re good enough to do it.
“Seychelles are a good side and their best qualities are on the counter attack.
“We will have to try to break them down and make sure we don’t get caught out at the back.
On the atmosphere and hostility in Seychelles, the young defender added, “It has been a nice experience. We had a warm welcome from the people of Seychelles. The weather is very harsh.”
