Awaziem, Eze Get Different Strokes In Last Training

Date:

It was a case of different strokes for two defenders in the Super Eagles’ training, as FC Nantes of France star, Chidozie Awaziem copped a nock, while LokOmotiv Plovdiv of Bulgaria rookie, Stephen Eze twinkled brilliantly.

Awaziem is one of few players in the current Eagles’ squad that fans believe is not good enough for the team, and appeared not to have made his cause any better with some stumbles since arriving camp on Monday, but Eze keeps improving with each passing day.

While the former Kano Pillars and CHAN 2018 star put himself in frame for a shirt against DR Congo on Monday, it was a different scenario for Awaziem, as the lad on loan from FC Porto of Portugal did complete the Eagles’ final training session, after suffering an injury scare.

Awaziem went off with what looked like an ankle injury but words from medical unit of the team suggest it’s just a minor injury which might not rule him out of Monday’s friendly in The Garden City.

He was the only fit player who didn’t complete today’s session which happens to be their last at Godswill Akpabio Stadium before their departure to Port Harcourt, venue of Monday’s friendly.

O0n the other hand, Eze was massive in training especially in the drills of one on one and two against one during the session.

The towering defender was also dominant in aerial duels and his timing and movement ‎has improved tremendously from the last time he was with the team.
