Awoniyi Low Budget Solution to big teams’ Striking Problems

Date:

Taiwo Awoniyi has been leaving his mark on the English Premier League with a flurry of goals.

Awoniyi concluded the previous season on a high note, finding the net in his last four games.

Now, he has seamlessly carried that momentum forward, notching two goals in as many games for Nottingham Forest since the start of the current campaign.

His Premier League record now boasts a remarkable streak of scoring in his last six matches.

Notably, he’s managed to outwit tough opponents like Chelsea and Arsenal, bagging goals against both clubs.

At just 26, he’s closing in on the peak of his performance and all indications suggest that the future is bright for the Nigerian.

Having secured double-digit goal tallies in his previous two seasons, Awoniyi’s accomplishments are even more noteworthy when you consider the caliber of teams he played for—Union Berlin and Nottingham Forest.

This raises intriguing questions about what he could achieve within a bigger club equipped with more effective support.

With the current summer transfer window still open, leading clubs in the league would be wise to seriously evaluate his capabilities.

Arsenal, grappling with the injury-prone Gabriel Jesus and the often unpredictable Eddie Nketiah, could greatly benefit from Awoniyi’s presence as a viable option.

Similarly, Chelsea’s need for a proficient number 9, capable of creating space for players like Nikolas Jackson and Nkunku, makes Awoniyi a more appealing prospect than the difficult deal of Dusan Vlahovic.

Tottenham, too, should contemplate acquiring a striker of Taiwo Awoniyi’s caliber. While he might not perfectly fit the mold of Harry Kane, his innate sense of positioning in the penalty box could prove instrumental, serving as a potent target man for the Lily whites.

All signs point towards an electrifying second season for Awoniyi in the Premier League and it’s imperative for significant clubs to recognize the unique attributes he brings to the table.

As we’ve already witnessed Antony Elanga unlock his potential, major clubs ought to be enthused about the prospect of surrounding Awoniyi with a cadre of skillful teammates.
