Royal Excel Mouscron of Belgium attacker, Taiwo Awoniyi is bound to get a new coach and different tactics to follow in the coming days, following the decision by his club’s management to sack the man who signed him on the club,
Awoniyi scored twice at Standard Liege and was named on the Team of the Week in Belgium, for his second appearance in the all-star’s roster this season, but his coach, Mircea Rednic has been fired.
Mouscron reacted to their poor run of form by sacking Rednic, in the midst of reports that the Romanian coach has even lost his dressing room as some of the players were unhappy with his training methods.
The Belgian club sent Rednic packing after 14 months on the job on account of disappointing results, and his assistant Laurent Demol will take temporary charge of the club.
Despite Awoniyi scoring a brace at the weekend, Mouscron lost 4-3 and have only managed 13 points in their last 18 matches this season, leaving them 12th on the table with 29 points from 26 matches.
