Former under-23 national team captain, Azubuike Okechukwu is back on familiar terrain and has described his move to Ceykur Rizespor of Turkey as a new challenge for him.
Footballlive.ng can report that Okechukwu was all smiles at the weekend, during his unveiling by Rizespor, and the battling midfielder aims to make the best of his latest port of call.
It is a return to Turkey for the Rio 2016 Olympics bronze medalist and, though he is only back on loan from FC Pyramids of Egypt, Okechukwu believes it is another opportunity for him to stage a bold claim for the big breakthrough he needs in his career.
With that in mind, Okechukwu took to social media to forecast on his targets and projections at Rizespor, where fellow-Nigerian stars, Kalu Uche and Nosa Igiebor excelled in the distant past.
Okechukwu wrote on his official handle @aazzuu14: “New Challenge. #CeykurRizespor. #BLICKBOY.”
