Coach Baba Ganaru was very pleased with his Elkanemi Warriors side as they defeated Nasarawa United 1-0 in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) on Thursday.
Sunday Anthony’s injury time strike gave the Borno club all three points against the Solid Miners.
“These sort of games are always very dangerous,” he told Footballlive.ng. “The opponent is theoretically much lower than us.
“But during the important parts of the game we were stronger than them.
“The players knew how to interpret the game. When we needed to kill off the game, we did exactly that.
“I was very pleased.”
The Desert Warriors are on top of NPFL Group A with nine from four games.
