Akwa United head coach, Mohammed Babaganaru praised his players for their positive performance in their recent victory over Kano Pillars. He emphasized the significance of the win in the team’s fight against relegation and expressed satisfaction with the players’ approach to the match.
Babaganaru highlighted the team’s resilience and determination to bounce back from their previous defeat to Kwara United by securing a crucial victory. He credited the players for executing the game plan effectively and expressed gratitude to God for the successful outcome.
“It’s a good thing that we have secured the victory we needed,” he said after the game.
“After our away defeat to Kwara, we came back and planned on how to win this game and we thank God that it worked out the way we planned.
Looking ahead, Babaganaru emphasized the importance of maintaining the momentum and level of improvement in the team as they approach the remaining six matches of the season. He reiterated the team’s commitment to continuing their positive trajectory and striving for favorable results in upcoming games.
“We still have six more matches before the end of the season and we know the importance of those games, so we have to continue with what we are doing because the level of improvement in the team is encouraging.”
