Yobe Desert Stars central defender Babatunde Solomon has full respect for Week 25 opponents Heartland.
The Damaturu outfit will be looking for a win when they host the Naze Millionaires in a Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) battle.
Despite Heartland’s struggles, Solomon is one on Yobe’s books that is wary of their potential.
“It is a game that will certainly be complicated, tough and we will have to work,” the midfielder has reflected in a conversation with Footballlive.ng.
“We will continue with the idea of being protagonists from the first minute and we will go for the game.
“Heartland are a good team and they do not deserve to be bottom of the League. They play well, they approach games very well and but for the details they would have more points. They have done much right and they are a team to be reckoned with.
“Today, every opponent has the potential to create danger in different ways, but we have to focus on ourselves, to do things as we intend and to correct our details.”
The Damaturu Stars head into this match in confident mood after the World Cup break.
“We have trained more comfortably and more cheerfully.
“The victory will be good to strengthen us in the work we are doing to help us move on.
“Winning the match with Heartland will help us and to see that the negative dynamic has been broken outright.
“We are going to go game by game, we will not think about the objective of the other team, we will approach the game seriously and try to continue our progress with three points against Heartland.”
