With the NFF election set for Katsina State on Thursday, the Katsina United Chairman, Alhaji Aminu Kurfi has come out to declare the state’s readiness to deliver a free and fair election.
Speaking exclusively to www.footballive.ng the NFF Technical Committee member said, “Katsina State is known for its hospitality and we are ready to host all the electorate and the entire football family.”
He went further to state that the Executive Governor of the State had made provision for adequate security, accommodation and a conducive atmosphere for the NFF election to run solely.
Only about 24 hours stand in the way of the emergence of the next NFF president with four strong contenders vying for vote on Thursday.
Incumbent NFF President, Pinnick Amaju is seeking a return to office for a second tenure but would have to fend off the competition from former NFF President, Aminu Maigari, Ex-Nigerian International, Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi who was also a former NFF General Secretary and a relatively unknown Chinedu Okoye who is looking to be the youngest ever NFF President.
The suspense will continue for another 24 hours and the next NFF President would emerge.
