Arsenal youth team striker, Folarin Balogun made hay again on Saturday, as he struck a hat-trick to help The Gunners’ kids stomp to a 4-2 win against Reading in an U18 Premier League fixture, footballlive.ng reports.
Balogun gave Arsenal the lead in the 24th minute and, though Michael Olise’s goal three minutes before the end of the half pulled Reading level, The Gunners went back in front two minutes after half time through Stan Flaherty.
Balogun then made it 3-1 on 64 minutes and struck the ‘assurance’ fourth goal for his side in the 77th minute.
While 17-year-old Balogun played the full game, fellow-Nigerian-born youngster, Ryan Alebiousu went on as a substitute six minutes to the final whistle, but kid goalkeeper, Arthur Okonkwo was on the bench all afternoon long.
Balogun, who has played for England and United States youth teams, is current top scorer in the U18 English Premier League South with eight goals from six matches.
