With the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) set to return on Sunday 2nd September, defender Bashiru Monsuru has reflected that Lobi Stars have room to improve.
Stars are on top of the ladder with 43 points from 24 games in the top flight.
The Pride of Benue head into September 2 league resumption still under mild scrutiny.
They are away to Niger Tornadoes at the Bako Kontagora Stadium.
”There isn’t a best team in the history of football every year. The years pass for everyone, and we have resolved to prove a point this season,” Bashiru told Footballlive.ng.
”I know we can do better and we have an important margin of improvement, but seeing the results we’ve secured in these season games, we can only be optimistic about the future.
”I hope we can find our best form when the season continues, he said.
”We are consistent. We could still do better with controlling matches.”
”It doesn’t suit us to have a feeling of not being in control, because our players are very decisive. The idea is that our rivals feel as though they don’t have control.
