Nigeria head coach Gernot Rohr has not minced his words ahead of their visit to Johannesburg to take on Bafana Bafana this weekend.
Rohr has sent out a stern warning ahead of his side’s departure for the penultimate round of 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on Saturday.
The 2-0 victory on matchday one in Uyo last year will also be a strong motivating factor for Nigeria to try an avenge their first ever home defeat to Bafana.
However, Rohr – who led the three-time African champions to the 2018 FIFA World Cup with a game to spare – has made it clear what their ambitions are for the tie in just over 48 hours.
“Our mission in Johannesburg is simple: qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations. We are not thinking of anything else. We want the ticket in our pocket before the final matchday,” said the German tactician on the Nigerian FA’s official website.
