Nigeria’s Super Sand Eagles will face host Egypt in the semi final of the ongoing 2018 Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations on Thursday December 13.
Nigeria secured a semi final slot after back to back wins against Libya and debutants Tanzania to finish second in group B behind defending champion and log leader Senegal.
The Sand Eagles crucial semifinal game against the host country will not just be to fight for a spot in the final but it is also a World Cup qualifying match with the winner set to pick one of the automatic qualification slots.
Host Egypt in their last group game beat Ivory Coast 10 – 3 to maintain their superiority in group A taking maximum points from three matches. The Pharoahs have scored a total of 20 goals in three matches conceeding six. In the other semifinal match to be decided, Senegal will face North African giants Morocco for a chance to play in the final and also qualify for the world cup in Paraguay.
