Nigeria’s Super Sand Eagles have qualified for the final of the 2018 Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations after defeating host Egypt 7 – 6 in the semi final of the championship today.
With the win, the Sand Eagles also booked a place in next year’s Beach Soccer World Cup in Paraguay becoming the first team to qualify for the World Cup in the world.
The Nigeria Football Federation congratulated the team via it’s Twitter handle for the feat achieved in Egypt and in front of the teeming he support. “FINAL SCORE. Nigeria 7-6 Egypt. Our Sand Eagles are through to the final of this year’s Beach Soccer AFCON and also booked a place at the World Cup in Paraguay next year. Congratulations Sand Eagles !!!!!”
Beach Soccer Worldwide also congratulated the Sand Eagles on their feat. “The @NGSuperEagles become the first team to qualify for the #FIFABeachSoccer #WorldCup Paraguay 2019, as they reach the @CAF_Online #BeachSoccer Africa Cup of Nations final! Congratulations!!!!”
Nigeria’s Sand Eagles will face either Senegal or Morocco in the final. The second semi final match comes up on Wednesday December 13 by 12pm. The final of the competition will take place on Friday December 14 by 2:30pm.
