Abia Warriors head coach, Bethel Oji, has vowed that his team will compensate for their recent goalless draw against Bendel Insurance by giving a better performance in their next match. The Umuahia-based club was held to a 0-0 draw in their matchday 35 fixture on Sunday, which left Oji disappointed due to missed opportunities.
In a post-match statement to Abia Warriors Media, Oji expressed his frustration with the team’s inability to capitalize on their chances against the Benin Arsenals. “When you refuse to take your chances, you will regret it,” he stated. Oji assured fans that the team is committed to addressing the issues that plagued their performance and will put everything into their upcoming match against Gombe United.
“We will use all we have to prosecute the match against Gombe United,” Oji declared. He also reassured supporters that the team is determined to avoid relegation and is actively working to correct the deficiencies that were evident in the match against Bendel Insurance.
Abia Warriors will face Gombe United at the Pantami Stadium this weekend, where they aim to secure a crucial victory to bolster their standing in the league and fend off relegation threats.
