Black Princesses Ready for Showdown with ‘Strong and Technically Good’ Falconets Yussif Basigi, the head coach of the Black Princesses of Ghana, has expressed confidence in his team’s readiness for their upcoming clash against the Falconets of Nigeria.
The highly anticipated final of the women’s football event at the Cape Coast Stadium is set to take place tonight, with both teams vying for the gold medal of the football event of the 13th African Games.
Despite acknowledging the strength of the Falconets, who have maintained a flawless record in the tournament, Basigi believes his team is well-equipped to compete.
Basigi emphasized his team’s ability to adapt their tactics and strategy, noting that they have previously faced strong opponents like Uganda and Senegal.
While acknowledging Nigeria’s technical prowess, Basigi remains undaunted, drawing on his past experience coaching against the Super Falcons during his tenure as head coach of the Black Queens.
“We vary our games and with the strength of the Nigerians, I think Uganda and Senegal are equally strong but we overcame them,” Basigi said in a press conference.”
“Nigeria is strong and technically good and we have what it takes to play against them. Playing against Nigeria is not new as I have played against the Super Falcons during my time as Black Queens head coach,” he said.
