Sunshine Stars gaffer, Kenedy Boboye has congratulated his team for their narrow win against Rivers United. Sunshine stars took a 1-0 win on sunday against Rivers United, courtesy of a 67th minute goal from Ibrahim Yusuf.
Boboye said that the team would keep working and keep fighting as they seek to survive relegation. He also mentioned that the team need to grab away points to add up with their points on home front.
In his exact words, he said:
“It’s just for us to keep working because we’ve just started for me. The boys, I think they fought hard to make sure they get these three points, but this one is gone and dusted. Our next target now is to think of the Federation Cup. After the Federation Cup, we’ll have another game against Insurance and that’s another big game. We don’t have anything short than winning in all these games and think of how we can get something away to add up to what we have at home”.
Sunshine Stars would faceoff against Bendel Insurance when the fixtures are rescheduled, while Rivers United have to take on Abia Warriors on Wednesday.
