Boniface Sets Sights on Treble After Bundesliga Triumph

Date:

Following their historic Bundesliga triumph with a resounding 5-0 victory over Werder Bremen, Bayer Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface has revealed the club’s ambitious goal of securing the treble this season.

Under the guidance of manager Xabi Alonso, Leverkusen clinched their first-ever league title, marking a significant milestone in the club’s history. Buoyed by this success, Die Werkself are now eyeing further glory in both the DFB Pokal and the UEFA Europa League.

With a place secured in the final of the DFB Pokal against Kaiserslautern, Leverkusen is determined to add another trophy to their cabinet.

Additionally, they are pursuing success in the Europa League, having already taken a significant step towards the semi-finals by defeating West Ham United 2-0 in the first leg of their quarter-final clash.

In a recent interview, Boniface expressed the team’s unwavering determination to continue their winning momentum. “We have two [more] important trophies we are aiming at,” he stated. “So it doesn’t stop here. We know we won the league, it’s a big achievement for us. But we also have two things [trophies] we are aiming at. So if we can have the perfect three, of course we will celebrate more.”

As Leverkusen sets its sights on further success, the club remains focused and determined to achieve their ultimate goal of securing the treble this season.
