Ikorodu City head coach, Bright Ozebagbei, has acknowledged that his team made things too easy for defending champions Enugu Rangers in their 1-0 loss at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena.
Speaking after the match, Ozebagbei expressed disappointment with his team’s performance, stating that they expected more from Rangers but struggled to capitalize on key opportunities.
“It was sad, maybe we made it easy for them. The expectation from Rangers was supposed to be more than what we saw,” Ozebagbei remarked. He also pointed to poor decision-making in the final third as a crucial factor in the defeat, lamenting missed chances that could have shifted the game in their favor. “We go back, we work on those areas where we would have made better decisions in the final third,” he added.
Ikorodu City will now look to regroup and address their weaknesses ahead of their next fixture.
