Arsenal of England rising star, Bukayo Saka has copnfessed that he is already looking forward to getting more minutes with The Gunners in the English FA Cup.
After notching another debut for the London club’s senior team, as he played his first FA Cup match on Saturday, footballlive.ng can report that Saka is desirous of action in the second round as well.
The youngster admitted as much in the wake of another historic outing for him, as he was a late substitute for fellow-Nigerian star, Alex Iwobi in Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Blackpool in the third round on Saturday.
The 17-year-old Saka made a third debut in a major competition for The Gunners this season when he stepped out onto the pitch of Blackpool’s Bloomfield Road Stadium in the 86th minute.
He also became the youngest Nigerian-born player to play for Arsenal in the FA Cup, following his appearance against The Seasiders, breaking the previous record of Chuba Akpom against Hull City on January 4, 2015.
Saka got his first senior appearance in the Europa League against Vorskla Poltava on November 29, before his English Premier League debut came 33 days later against Fulham.
He has earned rapid promotion at Arsenal this season, considering that he was playing for the London club’s under-18 team just four months ago, but he is asking for more opportunities.
Saka disclosed in a post: ”Good to get some more minutes tonight in the FA Cup. More importantly to get the win! Onto the next round. #coyg.”
