Rangers International Football Club has announced plans to partner with Green Foot Ladies to meet CAF’s requirements for participating in the Champions League next season.
According to CAF regulations, clubs must have a female team or adopt an existing one to be eligible for the competition.
Rangers, the reigning Nigeria Premier Football League champions, will support Green Foot Ladies to promote female football in the community.
Green Foot Ladies recently participated in the Women’s President Federation Cup.
Meanwhile, Remo Stars, another Nigerian representative in the CAF Champions League, already has a female team, Remo Stars Ladies, competing in the Nigeria Women’s Football League.
