Enyimba FC head coach, Olanrewaju Yemi, is focused on securing a crucial win in the second leg of their CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round tie against Etoile Filante of Burkina Faso.
After a goalless draw in the first leg, the decisive match will be held at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Sunday.
Olanrewaju stated that the task is far from complete and how important the return fixture.
“The job is far from over, and we can’t afford to celebrate yet. The return leg in Uyo will be crucial,” he said via Enyimba’s official platform.
Speaking on the first-leg performance, the coach was impressed with his team’s defensive discipline, which limited their opponents’ chances.
“We had a clear game plan, and the players executed it perfectly. Our tactical discipline prevented Etoile Filante from creating any meaningful scoring opportunities.”
A win will advance Enyimba to the next stage of the competition, keeping their CAF Confederation Cup hopes alive.
