Sacked Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has a deal in place with AC Milan.
TMW says Conte is the coach new Milan owners Elliott Management want to take charge of their squad this season.
The Italian now has agreed terms on a contract with Milan directors worth around €6m-a-year. However, an instant appointment is unlikely.
Conte and Chelsea are still haggling over the payout due for the final year of his contract. Chelsea have offered him €5m, while Conte has been demanding the full amount of €11m.
In Chelsea’s favour now, however, is the agreement with Milan. Conte needs to settle his dispute with the Blues before taking the Rossonero job.
Rino Gattuso remains in charge Milan, but there is a belief amongst the new board that he will be replaced by Conte before November.
