Chiamaka Nnadozie Writes History as Paris FC End Title Drought

Date:

Super Falcons Shot-Stopper, Chiamaka Nnadozie rose to the occasion to guide Paris FC to their first Coupe de France Féminine title in 19 years — a moment she described as the fulfilment of a childhood dream.

The 24-year-old goalkeeper was unshakable under pressure in Sunday’s final against star-studded rivals Paris Saint-Germain.

After a tense goalless draw in Calais, Nnadozie etched her name into club folklore by saving two penalties in a 5–4 shootout win, sealing Paris FC’s first major silverware since 2005.

“This is what I’ve worked for all my life,” Chiamaka Nnadozie shared emotionally on social media.

“The journey was tough, but the trophy worth it. A dream come true.”

She added gratitude to fans and offered a simple, faith-grounded declaration:

“God did.”

Her saves against Korbin Albert and Jade Le Guilly in the shootout didn’t just clinch a trophy — they brought a sense of validation to a player who has consistently delivered for both club and country since arriving in France from Rivers Angels in 2020.

The victory, Nnadozie’s first major club honour, comes at a defining period for both her and Paris FC, who are set to face PSG again in a playoff that will determine the league champion.

As the reigning CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year, Nnadozie’s current form is also a timely boost for Nigeria’s Super Falcons, who will be chasing an 11th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations title this July in Morocco.

After finishing a disappointing fourth in 2022, the Falcons — drawn in a competitive group with Tunisia, Algeria, and Botswana — will be banking on Nnadozie’s leadership between the sticks.
