Christian Pyagbara, forward for Shooting Stars, has expressed his appreciation towards the club’s management for their punctual payment of player entitlements.
Since joining the Ibadan-based club during the mid-season transfer window, Pyagbara has showcased remarkable form on the field. His sentiments highlight the importance of receiving salaries in a timely manner, which has been a rare occurrence in his experience as a professional footballer in the Nigeria Professional Football League.
Speaking to Blast FM, Pyagbara emphasized the significance of receiving salaries promptly, stating, “In my life as a professional footballer that has played in Nigeria Professional Football League for many years, I have never in my life received my salary on the 26th of every month.”
He further added, “It is a good thing for me and my colleagues to be getting paid as at when due here in Ibadan with Shooting Stars.”
As the team continues their campaign in the league, currently occupying the sixth position on the table with 40 points, Pyagbara and his teammates are set to face Niger Tornadoes at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna next Monday with renewed motivation and focus.
