Villarreal of Spain winger, Samuel Chukwueze has caught the eye of La Liga giants, Atletico Madrid, who footballlive.ng learnt are ready to sink a €4m transfer swoop for the rising star.
Following another blistering weekend for Chukwueze and the addition of his name to the list of best youth talents currently shaking La Liga, Atleti appear ready to break the bank to get him out of Villarreal’s grip.
However, Los Rojiblancos may have to improve their reported offer, as Chukwueze has a buy-out clause that is a little above €10m.
Nonetheless, observers see this as a fee that can be easily matched by Atletico and other interested teams if he fails to agree fresh terms with The Yellow Submarine before the expiration of his current deal.
In the knowledge of the kid’s growing value, Chukwueze’s agents has stopped the lad from signing an extension at Villarreal.
The club’s top brass, though, have proposed an improved five year deal for the fast-rising left-footer, with the insertion of a bigger clause.
Chukwueze is already a favorite at Villarreal in his first season with the senior team, for which he has scored in La Liga, Europa League and Copa Del Rey so far in the ongoing campaign.
