Villarreal of Spain winger, Samuel Chukwueze is thinking big of helping his side into the knock-out stage of the UEFA Europa League, as they are currently top of their group.
Footballlive.ng can report that Chukwueze is talking tough ahead of his side’s trip to Glasgow, Scotland, where they tango Sadiq Umar and Ovie Ejaria’s Rangers, as he believes Villarreal will make current form count.
Although his side drew the first leg at home, Chukwueze is optimistic that they can turn the table on Thursday to keep The Yellow Submarine side’s knock-out ticket back on course.
The Super Eagles’ rookie said he has personally set his mind only on full points in Glasgow and progress to the knock-out stage
The Chile 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup revelation said he is quite confident, as Villarreal travel to Scotland in search of their second win in the group, which could seal their qualification, though all four have equal chances.
The 19-year-old Chukwueze retorted: “They came to our home and played a draw.
“I always remember the match because that was my debut match with the first team.
“So, we will be looking for maximum points when we face them on Thursday. We know what is involved.
“The group is still very open and we just want to focus on winning our match against them, so I believe we can play well and win.”
