Chile 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup revelation, Samuel Chukwueze has been added to the main team of Spanish La Liga side, Villarreal for their upcoming pre-season programme.
This follows Chukwueze’s sterling role with The Yellow Submarine outfit’s B-team in their 2-0 play-off win over Fuenlabrada.
Chukwueze stole the headline for the B team with a dazzling display which he capped with a goal and an assist in a man of the match display which further confirmed his rating as one of the best prospect in their youth set up.
His first goal was a spectacular effort hit with venom with his favourite left foot which nestled in the net leaving the goalkeeper stranded. He followed it up with an assist for their second goal from a quick counter attack.
The 19-year-old Chukwueze joined Villarreal after a failed move to Arsenal and later Porto, but he has progressed in just three months and at lower levels with Ikechukwu Uche’s former club.
Villarreal are now losing sleep over Chukwueze’s contract, as he has just a year to run on his deal and talks about an extension are yet to yield fruits, with his advisers reportedly studying offers from other teams in Europe.
