Chukwueze Receives Extension Offer From Villarreal

Date:

Villarreal of Spain winger, Samuel Chukwueze has received an offer for a contract extension with the club, as The Yellow Submarine aim to shield him from the rising number of suitors after his signature.

With the Super Eagles’ rookie having hit top form in only his first full season at senior level in La Liga, footballlive.ng can report that Villarreal are moving quickly to tie him down to a longer deal.

Subsequently, fresh reports out of The Land of The Armada indicate that Villarreal have already opened talks with Chukwueze over terms of a new and improved contract in an attempt to ward off interest in him.

Attention has already come for the Chile 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup gold medalist from Atletico Madrid in La Liga as well as a couple of teams in the English Premier League.

Chukwueze, who is valued in the region of 40m euros, has retained his place in Villarreal’s starting line-up despite the sack of the coach that gave him his breakthrough, Javi Calleja.

After getting his debut in September, Chukwueze has grown in leaps and bounds, such that Atletico have been linked with a January move for the lad, who debuted for Nigeria against Uganda in a friendly in Asaba.

Although the identity of the Premier League clubs interested in signing Chukwueze is classified information for now, he was heavily courted by Arsenal and Leicester City just before completing his move to the Yellow Submarine.
