Tanzania National Team Technical Adviser, Emmanuel Amuneke celebrated his official debut with Tanzania National Team with an away draw against the Cranes of Uganda despite the coach’s desire to grab a win in his first official match.
Despite the barren draw in Uganda the former Nigeria Golden Eaglets Coach would have been delighted with the intensity and commitment from his players in the 90 minutes away from home as his first priority remains getting the TAIFA Stars 2019 AFCON qualifiers back on track.
A vastly Emmanuel Amuneke with experience coaching clubs like Ocean Boys FC, Julius Berger FC, Al Khartoum Watani of Sudan etc speaking to www.footballive.ng is the gafter , “We will look at ourselves and continue to work with our strengths.”
On why he wasn’t overly disappointed with the result, he said, “I have only been with this team for 10 days so getting a draw in our first match was not a bad result especially as we were playing away from home, so I am really happy with the performance and definitely convinced that the team would only get better.”
He concluded by saying he was happy his current crop of Tanzanian players who are showing great prospects and are willing to work towards achieving the dream.
