Super Falcons’ head coach, Randy Waldrum, has raised concerns about the brief preparation period for the team ahead of the 2024 Olympic Games qualifiers against Cameroon.
With only three training sessions before the first leg clash against the Indomitable Lionesses, Waldrum highlighted the challenge posed by the limited time frame.
The team will have only a few days to prepare for the reverse fixture scheduled for next Monday. Despite the constraints, Waldrum expressed optimism that the players, many of whom are participating in international leagues, are in good spirits.
The American coach emphasized the difficulty of preparing adequately during international breaks with two matches on the horizon but conveyed confidence in the team’s readiness for the crucial games against Cameroon. Waldrum has assembled a squad of 21 players for the third-round tie.
