Cobnan The Hero AS Krasnodar Pull Comeback Win

Nigerian attacker, Moses Cobnan was the hero as FC Krasnodar claimed their second win of the league season against Pari NN. The Krasnodar stadium fans were treated to a thrilling 2-1 victory over their opposition to claim a second successive win in the Russian Premier Liga.

 

Krasnodar were uncharacteristic in front of goal in the first half, scoring none of their 6 goal attempts, and only troubling the opposition goalkeeper just once. Pari NN took their chance in the 36th minute as Juan Manuel Boselli gave them the lead, with their lead intact at halftime.

 

The second half saw more chances from Krasnodar, as they sought an equalizer in the game. Moses Cobnan was summoned off the bench in the 69th minute, and he proved to the key required to unlock the goals. Cobnan scored the equalizer in the 76th minute, converting Eduard Spertsyan’s assist to level proceedings.

The 21-year-old added another just four minutes after, Jhon Cordoba provided the assist to complete the turnaround. Fellow Nigerian, Olakunle Olusegun also featured in the game, coming off the bench for the final 15 minutes of the encounter.

 

Krasnodar’s win took the team up to 5th place with 9 points, following consecutive wins, after drawing their first three games of the league season. They will now seek to continue their run of form against Dynamo Moscow in their next fixture away from home.
