SC Paderborn 07 of Germany left-back, Jamilu Collins has promised to give the Super Eagles something special and give extra effort if called on to play against Libya in Saturday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Uyo.
It would be his first competitive match for Nigeria, but footballllive.ng learnt that the former youth international is not feeling any complexes heading into the fixture.
On the other hand, Jamilu, who debuted in the unofficial friendly against Liberia last month, says the experience he has gained from playing in the German second division league has prepared him to face any situation that comes his way in football.
Collins, who was a member of Nigeria’s under-20 squad, Flying Eagles, to the 2013 Toulon Invitational Tournament in France, promised to give his best if selected b y Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr.
The 24-year-old dark-skinned lad said: ”I will be very happy if picked and I will give my best the same way I do in training to see that we succeed and get a victory that we came for.
”I just want Nigerians to put their hands together and support the team, pray for us and wish us well.”
