Midfielder Kingsley Sokari was impressive for CS Xfaxien who drew 0-0 with Salitas in the CAF Confederation Cup Group Stage on Sunday, reports Footballlive.ng.
The playmaker entertained fans at the Stade Taïeb Mhiri (Sfax (Safāqis)) with his deft touches and silky skills.
He was rewarded with a 90-minute show for the Tunisian side.
Sokari, 23, was left undone by his teammates who were wasteful in front of goal.
Nicknamed “Iniesta”, Sokari is only the second Nigerian player to play for the U20, U23 team and full national team in the same year after Ahmed Musa in 2011. He burst onto the scene with Enyimba during the 2013/14 season.
After signing as a youth player following a recruitment exercise in 2013, he was immediately promoted to the first team and played an integral part in helping the People’s Elephants compete in the league and the CAF Champions League.
During the season, he integrated well into the team forming a vital partnership with teammates providing numerous assists in vital games.
Xfaxien are on top of Group B with five points from three games. The Pool also includes Enugu Rangers, with the Flying Antelopes at third spot with four points.
