Chairman of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) club owners, Barrister Isaac Danladi has stated that the participation of the local based players in the recent international friendly with Liberia has brought a massive boost to the other players in the league and supporters.
The Nasarawa United supremo posited that he hopes the trend of inviting some players to the national team will continue as there are a lot of talents in the NPFL.
Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Adeleye Olamilekan, Ebube Duru, Mfon Udoh and Sunday Adetunji all featured for the Super Eagles in the 2-1 win over the George Weah captained Liberia on Tuesday night.
“When domestic league players are invited to the Super Eagles, it makes us happy that we are doing things right,” the amiable administrator told Footballlive.ng.
“The NPFL is filled with good players capable of holding their own anywhere in the world.”
“As club owners’ Chairman, am very happy happy that league players showcased their talents in the game the Super Eagles won against Liberia.”
