Enyimba International Midfielder and younger brother of former Wikki Tourist goalkeeper Ebenezer Ojo, Dare Ojo has spoken exclusively to footballive about his excitement and delight in the victory over CARA Brazzaville that saw the People’s Elephant progress to the quarterfinals of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Speaking to www.footballlive.ng immediately after the match, he said, “We are very happy and we are still in spirit of celebration and we thank no one but God for the victory first of all.”
He went on to describe the game as a hard and difficult game due to the approach from the Congolese but was glad that they were able to come out victorious following a late strike from Wasiu Alalade.
The Osun State born player who has had a splendid time so far with the Aba Giants said God’s favor, patience and consistency has being his driving force having taking long ride from playing for Kwara United FC and now with Enyimba International
On the focus of team moving forward in the CAF Confederation Cup, the midfielder said, “We’ve worked very hard to make sure we get to the next stage which is the quarter finals and we are set to play Rayon Sport of Rwanda who are not an easy opponent as we look to qualify for the semifinals.”
The Former Kwara United player Finally also spoke about how tremendous and marvelous the fans at Aba International Stadium were, describing it as what he would normally expect in a match against Kano Pillars in Kano.
He concluded by dedicating the victory to God who helped the team end its first match at the newly refurbished Enyimba International Stadium Aba in victory.
