1- The meeting welcomed the Clubs promoted to the NPFL from the Nigeria National League (NNL), namely Kada City FC of Kaduna, Insurance FC of Benin, Gombe United FC and Remo stars FC.
2- The Meeting confirmed 13th January 2019 as the kick off date for the 2019 (24 team format) NPFL abridged league of two groups of 12 teams each for the season.
3- The meeting agreed and approved additional time and special concessions for the newly promoted clubs for registration and also that they are to commence league matches from Match Day 3.
4- The Meeting accepted the proposed Six-team play off at the end of the abridged league for the top three teams from each of the two groups to determine the Champion of the league for the season and also determine the second and third placed teams to represent the country at CAF Club competitions.
5- The meeting accepted the proposed relegation of Eight (8) teams from the NPFL at the end of the abridged league with Four teams each from the two groups while 4 teams shall be promoted from the NNL to revert to the regular NPFL 20-team format in the 2019/2020 season.
6(a)- The Meeting requested the Nigeria Football Federation NFF to grant the request for more participation of the LMC in the matter of referees placement and disciplinary matters with the objective to subsequently ensure more involvement in the management of refereeing matters for the league in line with best international practices to guarantee and sustain quality officiating for the league.
6- (b).The meeting identified officiating as one of the biggest challenges facing the league system and therefore resolved that any erring Referee found wanting shall be withdrawn from the league for a minimum of 5years aside other disciplinary measures to be taken by the NFF Referees committee.
7- The Meeting expressed its total confidence and support for the Leadership of the LMC and the Directors for their untiring efforts to sustain the league despite the several challenges faced by the system in recent time.
8- The Meeting thanked the Leadership and members of the Nigeria Football Federation NFF for their interventions in solving the problems facing league football in Nigeria as well as the several achievements recorded by our National teams.
9- The meeting fully resolved to continue to work with the LMC to protect the brand of the NPFL and ensure the rebuilding process of the commercial strategy of the NPFL to achieve the desired success for the benefit of the clubs and the league.
10- The meeting noted that the 2019 NPFL season is a transitional season and thus everyone agrees to work harmoniously to support the process to make the season a success within the inherent limitations due to the transition.
