Footballlive.ng can report that Tottenham Hotspur have finally hooked their dazzling Nigerian-born midfielder, Bamidele Alli to a long-term contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2024.
In the wake of their 1-0 loss at home to Manchester City on Monday in the English Premier League, Spurs’ fans would feel consoled with news about Alli’s extended deal.
It also comes hot on the heel of his return from injury to star against The Citizens at Wembley and, though he could not save his side from losing nor help them stay above Arsenal on the table, it was all smiles for the player and officials of the club.
Spurs quickly went public to reveal that Alli has signed a new six-year contract worth £100,000 per week.
The 22-year-old England international, who joined the North London side from MK Dons in 2015, had been in discussions with the club’s top brass since the summer over a bumper pay rise.
Alli has now followed Harry Kane, Heung-min Son, Davinson Sanchez, Erik Lamela and Harry Winks in signing long-term deals at the club.
