Super Falcons coach, Thomas Dennerby has made a chain of demands from Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), in order to give the female national team a solid base for next year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup in France, footballlive.ng learnt.
Among his requests are $150 per day for crew members, instead of salaries, as well the appointment of a technical video analyst and physical trainer for the team, who struggled for form at AWCON 2018
An inside source confirmed that Dennerby has pleaded with the NFF to employ a video analyst and physical trainer for the team ahead of their campaign at France 2019.
Dennerby made the requests when he submitted his programme for the tournament, which is billed for June.
Though many Nigerians are critical of Dennerby’s coaching style, which was blamed for the Falcons’ struggles in wining AWCON 2018 in Ghana last weekend, the Swedish tactician believes more heads in his crew and a new payment regime will make his job easier.
The source stated: “He has proposed that the coaches be placed on daily allowances and not on salaries anytime they are in camp with the team.”
