Nigeria’s female national team, Super Falcons’; coach, Thomas Dennerby has promised to prepare his players in the best way possible to achieve a revival of fortunes at the Africa Women Cup of Nations in Ghana.
Heading into Wednesday’s second group match against Zambia in Cape Coast, Dennerby admitted his side need to work extra hard in order to avoid another loss that would oust them early from the competition.
Footballlive.ng reports that it is an uphill task fro Dennerby and his lasses, as Zambia humiliated pre-competition favourites and two-time winners, Equatorial Guinea 5-1 on Sunday, which means they will be a hard nut to crack for the Nigerians.
The Zambians also have a threat to flaunt in their star player, Racheal Kundanaji, who has already thrown a taunting challenge at the Falcons, but Dennerby said he will only concentrate on preparing his team to win.
The Swedish gaffer added: “It is nothing new and we know that both teams are working really hard; but the only thing we can work with is to prepare our own players.”
